Mini Farm Animals | Okay, no matter how many cookies you cut, you will always have a few little scraps left over. One of my favorite things to cut—mostly because it’s easy—is a bunch of mini rounds! You can use these for toppers on cupcakes or just as little filler details on a tray of cookies. Or just to eat while you decorate, which I highly recommend. If you are out of ideas on how to decorate them, try these cutie little farm animal faces. Mini means you get about sixty cookies per batch!

Food

Food Truck Cookies | Okay, this food truck can be turned into basically any food you want, and that is why it is so fun!! Its initial use was an ice cream truck, but a few simple modifications to colors and details creates a cute taco truck! Pair these with some writing cookies like “feed me and tell me I’m pretty.”

Christmas

Tree-Rex Cookies! | If you have a dinosaur-lover in your house, or you are just tired of the standard Christmas cookies, these Tree-rex cookies have your back! I like to use a standard T-REX cookie cutter you can find almost anywhere and splice a star on top of his head. You could also use this splicing method to add a grad cap or a party hat for a birthday. These would be great to pair with some “Merry Christmas” cookies or even more traditional Christmas cookies.

Other Holidays

Love Notes | Take yourself back to grade school with these cookies—which I would much rather receive than a folded piece of notebook paper! Just don’t throw it across the room in airplane form. It won’t end well. These would be perfect for the first day of school for a new teacher or in your kiddo’s lunchbox for a sweet treat!

Summer Fun

The Fanciest Seashells | These cookies look so real you won’t want to eat them! I made these for my grandmother once about seven years ago and she still has them in her china cabinet. Yes, seriously—and once you make them you will see why! Maybe the best part of this design: you only need white icing to make them, so no endless hours of color mixing before you can start!

Cool Cookies

Blame It All on My Roots . . . | I showed up in BOOTS! I couldn’t leave this book without at least a nod to my Texas Roots. And these cowboy (or cowgirl) boots are my favorite! Jazz them up with some floral accents and scroll work.
