The pot it comes in is a strong dark neoprene container, but most people, when using them inside, show them off in a more decorative planter. Also, by inserting the pot it comes in, down into a taller planter, you can easily raise the height. All is needed is some type of filler in the bottom of the taller planter to raise it. Pedestal urns also are a very easy way to raise and display the beauty of this palm. You can even stagger a few together in different heights to give a very tropical look. There are so many ways that this plant can be used, that only your imagination can limit its use. Have fun! When using them outside it is best for them to receive as little sunlight as possible so they will last longer. If you lightly cover the leaves and stems with KRYLON UV Resistant Acrylic spray, they will last a long time, even in the sun. It is available at almost all hardware stores, and on line at a minimal cost. Only takes one small can the size of most paint spray cans.
